Akshay Kumar‍‍`s production company, Cape of Good Films, has issued a public notice asserting that it is the sole worldwide rights holder of Hera Pheri 3, warning the entertainment industry against entering into any unauthorised agreements related to the film.

The notice states that Cape of Good Films LLP holds the exclusive global licence to produce, distribute, market and commercially exploit the upcoming film across all existing and future platforms and technologies.

The company urged distributors, cinema chains, OTT platforms, television broadcasters, advertisers and other industry stakeholders to verify any claims regarding the film‍‍`s rights before signing agreements. It said only transactions approved in writing by Cape of Good Films would be considered valid.

The production house also warned that any individual or organisation dealing with third parties claiming ownership or distribution rights without its authorisation would do so at its own risk. It added that legal action could be taken against any unauthorised use of the film‍‍`s intellectual property.

The notice comes as Hera Pheri 3 remains mired in production delays and legal uncertainty.

Director Priyadarshan recently announced that he had stepped away from the project, alleging repeated disrespect from producer Firoz Nadiadwala during the film‍‍`s development.

The much-anticipated sequel was expected to reunite Akshay Kumar, Suniel Shetty and Paresh Rawal, recreating the iconic trio from the earlier Hera Pheri films.

The project has faced several setbacks over the past year. Paresh Rawal briefly exited the film in May before later rejoining the cast, while ongoing disputes over production and ownership rights have continued to cast doubt over the movie‍‍`s progress.
